ABI Research opens European office in the UK

NEW YORK - Technology market research firm ABI Research is to open a London office as part of a push into the UK and Europe.

While ABI's key executive management, back office staff, IT, marketing and production operations remain in Oyster Bay, near New York, the new office near Chancery Lane in Central London is designed to give the firm a base to target not just UK, but wider European markets.

At the same time ABI, which has previously had research and sales operations in the UK, will consolidate its research, analysis and sales efforts in a single location.

Tim Archdeacon, ABI Research president, said: "While ABI Research has had research and sales teams in the UK for some time, we felt it was important to establish a new presence in the heart of one of the world's great financial and business cities."

The new London office adds one more location to a growing list of the company's global research offices that now includes New York, Hong Kong and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jake Saunders, ABI European director of research, said: "ABI Research regularly gives face-to-face television interviews with CNN, CNBC and the BBC on a variety of technology subjects. Chancery Lane's close proximity to London's media enterprises helps us to respond to these requests more effectively.

"Furthermore, we can reach out to clients and industry participants in a very timely manner."
