The annual temporary rink, managed by IMG on behalf of the museum, will open on 4 November and run until 8 January 2012.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected at the rink in the front grounds of the museum, where Zafferano will manage a two-story pop-up café for skaters and private hire.
An alpine themed menu will offer hot chocolate with rum or whipped cream, Bratwurst with mustard, hearty soups and Belgian waffles served warm with chocolate, cream, or maple syrup and toasted almonds.
IMG executive producer Joel Smith said: "It’s great to have Zafferano on board – they’ve created a sumptuous menu full of treats that will warm our skaters after enjoying their time on the ice."
