The initiative will use Yahoo's! oneSearch technology, which was launched last year.
Yahoo! made the announcement at Mobile World Congress, which is taking place in Barcelona this week.
It said the partnership with T-Mobile will allow the mobile phone network's customers to obtain search results quickly and easily, without the need to navigate through PC web links.
The service provides users with access to news, financial information, weather conditions, photos, images and websites.
The two companies will also work on strategic plans to incorporate Yahoo!'s other services into oneSearch. The additional services include Flickr, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Weather and Yahoo! Finance.
Marco Boerries, executive vice-president at Connected Life, Yahoo!, said: "T-Mobile's decision to work with Yahoo! is a clear demonstration of the strength of our industry-leading mobile search service and our ability to work with partners to give consumers the best possible mobile internet experience."
Separately, Yahoo! has announced the launch of a new mobile communications service called oneConnect, which will combine integrated mobile messaging with a socially connected address book.
Yahoo! said oneConnect will be the first mobile product with an open architecture that aggregates communications tools such as email, instant messaging, text messaging and social networks.
It is expected to become available across hundreds of devices and mobile browsers around the world.
