Nokia enlists 70 media groups to launch mobile ad network

The Nokia Media Network allows advertisers to place ads on a wide range of mobile web pages, as well as Nokia media properties. The platform provides brands with access to more than 100 million mobile consumers worldwide.

As part of the initiative Nokia's mobile marketing team will create bespoke campaigns for brands including BMW, Paramount, and MobiTV.

The move comes six months after Nokia bought privately-held mobile advertising firm Enpocket for an undisclosed sum. The deal gave Nokia control of the technology used to manage mobile campaigns and provide targeted ads.

In an effort to share its expertise with global brands, agencies and publishers during 2008, Nokia has expanded its account management and media sales teams in key markets including the UK.

‘The biggest brands in the world trust us with their mobile advertising because they know they can reach the largest, highest quality audience on mobile and provides the best return on investment,' said VP and head of Nokia Interactive, Mike Baker.
