The monthly magazine, which had a circulation of more than 1.1m, is the last in a long line of internet magazines to close, but its consumer focus has kept it going longer than many of its business-orientated rivals.
It has been the advertising slump that has finally sunk Yahoo! Internet Life. Its ad pages were 52% down in the year to May, forcing Ziff to close yet another magazine.
In May, Ziff merged The Net Economy magazine into Advanstar's America's Network. This followed the closure of two magazines last year when Ziff, which is deeply in debt, folded Interactive Week magazine into sister publication eWeek and also closed Smart Partner with the total loss of around 75 jobs.
An internal memo at Ziff said that the magazine "did not generate enough marketplace support" following the dotcom crash and economic downturn, which has hit the technology sector hard.
The August issue of Yahoo! Internet Life will be its last.
