WWAV Rapp Collins boosts digital with two hirings

LONDON - Direct agency WWAV Rapp Collins London has beefed up its digital capability by hiring Alex Stoneham as digital communications director and Joe Woollen as head of digital media.

Stoneham, previously head of client engagement at Wunderman Interactive, will report to Gavin Hilton, who recently joined WWAV Rapp Collins Planning from Proximity as joint planning director.

Stoneham's responsibilities in her previous role included overseeing delivery for Microsoft and managing client relationships with Ford of Europe, Ford of Britain, Land Rover and Adidas.

The agency has also hired Joe Woollen, formerly an account director at Media Contacts, in the newly created role of head of digital media.

Woollen, whose previous jobs included a digital role at MediaVest Manchester, will report to media director, Ian Maynard.

Marco Scognamiglio, chief executive of WWAV Rapp Collins Group, said: "Digital is playing an increasingly important role for all of our existing clients across the charity and commercial sectors. In Alex, I believe we have found someone who shares our philosophy and has the expertise to ensure we stay ahead of the game in the digital space."

The agency also made two digital appointments at the end of last year, bringing in Richard Barrett as technical manager and Giuseppe Mormandi as digital producer. Barrett's former positions included development manager for SPML, Lehman Brothers, while Mormandi joined from Cimex, where he worked as a project manager.
