WRG recruits new healthcare communications director

WRG has selected David Sawyer as its new healthcare communications director, in a bid to build on the agency's presence in the pharmaceutical sector.

Sawyer joins from Complete HealthVizion, where he was head of commercial development. He has also worked for companies including Servier, MSD and AstraZeneca.

His key responsibilities will include developing creative and impactful campaigns, thought leadership engagement programmes and communication strategies for pharmaceutical clients.

WRG works with brands including AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Smith & Nephew and Boehringer Ingleheim, and the new appointment subsequently forms an important part of its growth strategy moving forward.

Sawyer said: "I’m delighted to join WRG and I look forward to developing exciting and memorable communication strategies for our healthcare clients, in this rapidly expanding area of the business."
