
Atherton, who joins the agency from Ernst & Young where he was an associate director and led the marketing for the UK EY Entrepreneur Of The Year business awards programme, has more than 15 years of experience in the telecoms and professional services sectors.
His focus at will be to use his sector knowledge and event marketing experience to bring new focus to the agency’s technology clients and develop new relationships across this area of the company’s business.
WRG will benefit from Atherton’s experience of working on major events and commercial sponsorship activations, having led European and global teams for a number of event marketing campaigns, including activations during the last two Olympic Games.
