WPP made the acquisition via its database marketing firm KnowledgeBase Marketing, which is a division of Wunderman's.
Founded in 1992, DataCore is based in Kansas City, Kansas and employs 119 people. Its clients include Bayer Environmental Science, H&R Block, Hill's Pet Nutrition, John Deere, Michelin and Novartis.
DataCore's had unaudited revenues for the year ended December 31 of 14.85m with assets of $13m.
It follows two other acquisitions WPP made last week. First it bought a 6.8% share in Media Rights Capital, the US content firm that specialises in film, TV, mobile and broadband services earlier in the week.
It followed by snapping up a 40% stake in German mobile marketing company iconmobile.
