The World: Seattle - Amazon appoints Doner to reinvigorate brand

Amazon has appointed Doner, the Michigan-based independent agency, to help develop new ways to market the e-commerce brand.

Amazon, which spent around $25 million on US-measured media in 2007, has also approached agencies regarding new ideas for Kindle, the brand's wireless-reader device.

Amazon has done little in terms of advertising to promote the device since its release last November, but is eager to market the product, with an updated version is rumoured to be in the pipeline.
