Wippit in promotional tie-ups with Blueyonder and Daily Star

LONDON - Wippit, the cut-price music download service, has linked with Blueyonder and the Daily Star for two promotions.

The Blueyonder promotion will see the ISPs customers receiving a 拢5 discount on a 拢50 subscription. It is being pushed across the site's music channels as part of the Blueyonder Download weekend.

The deal with the Daily Star sees readers collecting four passwords printed in the newspaper to be eligible for a 拢5 credit, which can be spent on any product on the Wippit site.

The promotional deals follow on from the news that Wippit is in talks with film distribution companies about launching a movie download service offering films from as little as 99p.

The company has also signed a deal with the classified newspaper website Loot.com to run its download music service.
