Wegener sells off Contact & Fulfil to management

LONDON – Wegener DM has sold its Contact & Fulfil data capture and contact centre operation to its management, led by managing director Colin Gray, for an undisclosed sum.

Gray is planning to develop Contact & Fulfil as an independent business, which will continue to have a supplier relationship with Wegener.

"We have a solid client base and an excellent track record as one of the UK's top data capture operations, as well as a growing reputation as a provider of contact centre services -- and we will build upon this expertise to expand our operation," Gray said.

The disposal completes the process of refocusing Wegener DM UK as a consumer data, intelligence and database management company, according to UK chief executive Otto Osterwijk.

Osterwijk said: "Wegener is now a company totally focused on delivering effective and intelligent data solutions. We have the capability to deliver everything from high-quality acquisition data, to clear and actionable customer insight to the management of sophisticated pan-European databases for clients like Procter & Gamble."

Contact & Fulfil is set to benefit from Wegener doubling its spend on survey programmes in 2006.
