Wegener DM strengthens CRM with Unica partnership

LONDON - Consumer data and database management company Wegener DM has signed a Europe-wide agreement with Unica Corporation for its enterprise marketing management software Affinium.

Founded in 1992, Unica is the leading global EMM software company. Affinium includes tools such as data mining, planning, budget tracking, project and resource management, and relationship and internet marketing.

Sylvain Pavlowski, Unica's managing director EMEA, said: "Wegener and its clients have expertise for handling major cross-border projects -- projects our Affinium EMM software is ideally suited to handle. This makes it a strong European company for us to partner with."

Wegener DM manages pan-European databases for clients including Procter & Gamble and spends around €10m (£6.9m) a year on data acquisition in its major European markets, including the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK.

Bert Smits, Wegener DM's chief executive, said: "With Unica, we can build upon our proven strengths in providing integrated multichannel campaigns driven by flawless data management and expert analysis and consultancy.
