Weekender: Pimm's pop-ups, fashion-forward installations and a branded music festival

This weekend, Pimm's pop-up bars are serving up beverages at both Wimbledon and Leeds Trinity, Hemyca is hosting visitors at its installation in London, and Corona is putting on a music festival.

Drinks brand Pimm’s is popping up at Wimbledon until Sunday (12 June). Its brightly coloured, oversized teapot bar serves new Pimm’s concoctions as well as all of the classics, and it is complete with televisions which screen the matches.

The brand's Apres Summer Party pop-up at Trinity Leeds shopping centre, which serves up a range of Pimm’s-based beverages, is also open until Sunday.

London-based fashion label Hemyca has opened an immersive installation at Broadgate Circle. Expect to find the brand’s AW15 collection and accessories available for purchase, as well as one-off pieces created especially for the pop-up shop. 

The installation is divided into four segments that enable attendees to delve into the world of Hemyca. They can watch the label's designers in action, see what inspires the brand and sit-in on talks by fashion industry insiders.

AB InBev brand Corona has secured the likes of Groove Armada and Clean Bandit for its upcoming Corona Sunsets music festival at Weston-Super-Mare. Chef Andre Amaro will create wood-fired based dishes for the event, meanwhile The Shaker Boys are set to mix up Corona-based cocktails for attendees.

There will also be a marketplace with local crafts and clothing available for purchase, and festival-goers will be able to take a break from the action with a therapeutic massage.

Whisky brand Monkey Shoulder has opened a pop-up bar in east London that is unlike any other – it promises short queues, polite staff, relaxed dress codes and reasonably priced drinks. 

Doormen who are trained in etiquette greet patrons at the door with smiles, jokes and flowers, and guests waiting in line will receive cocktail tasters, plus there are ‘mates rates’ tokens for those who mention a secret name at the bar.

Frozen yoghurt brand Snog is visiting a number of music festivals this summer, and next up is T in the Park in Scotland. Snog’s bright pink Yog-Yurt activation serves up the brand’s frozen yoghurt varieties for festival-goers to enjoy in its branded chill out zone, and staff will be handing out both original and passionfruit flavoured varieties.
