Things to do this weekend: Cognac time capsules, dogs in car boots and vodka on the Thames

Hennessy, Vauxhall and Cîroc are launching brand experiences this weekend (12-14 June) involving a time machine, high-end art and pineapple cocktails.

Friday morning will see cognac house Hennessy install a virtual time barrel at London’s St Pancras International train station. Available to experience until 18 June, the digital activation will allow commuters to record a message for the future in a text or a 15-second video.

The barrel will be reopened in 2065. The concept has been devised to celebrate the brand’s 250th anniversary and the release of its 250 Collector Blend.

Vauxhall is back on the art scene this Sunday (14 June) with a car boot sale with a twist. Artists such as Tracey Emin and Sir Peter Blake will be among the artists showcasing their work in London’s Brick Lane Yard, selling works ranging from one pound to £1,000.

Canine-themed for 2015, the event will also feature cabaret entertainment and a silent auction.

Vodka brand Cîroc launched its pop-up by Tower Bridge on Tuesday night (9 June). Open until 31 October until 10pm each night, the experience hosts the Cîroc School of Mixology, Saturday brunch sessions and live lunchtime music sessions.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s Live

In the latest of its Live series, the Royal Albert Hall will be screening Audrey Hepburn’s iconic film, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, across the weekend. The cinematic experience will be amplified by a performance from the Philharmonia Film Orchestra and Philharmonia Chorus, which will perform the film’s score as it plays.

Monica Mancini, daughter of Moon River composer Henry Mancini, will perform the Oscar-winning song before the start of each performance.

When: Friday 12 June at 7.30pm; Saturday 13 June at 2.30pm and 7.30pm
