Weekender: Bompas & Parr's food museum, McCain and the NFL

This weekend sees food-related experiences from Bompas & Parr and McCain, with a bit of American football thrown in.

The British Museum of Food – a two level space by food architects Bompas & Parr – opens at Borough Market tomorrow (23 October). The temporary creation will be in place for three months, however the team is currently searching for a permanent location. The museum will feature spaces including Choco-phonica - a multi-sensory experience which combines chocolate and sound in a unique way, and a gallery of food-focused artworks. Chip brand McCain is hosting an immersive roast potato pop-up experience, coined Sunday Best. The brand has partnered with the Robin Collective to create the space, where visitors will be taken on a journey through the senses – and treated to a unique Christmas Day themed feast.

Last year's NFL on Regent Street celebrations attracted more than 50,000 visitors

The NFL on Regent Street event will feature an interactive NFL Lab, where fans can test their sporting prowess. Other experiences include an NFL Play 60 will be available for younger players, and a performance from the Ohio State University Marching Band. Last year’s event saw around 600,000 people attend, so big crowds are expected.
