Weekender: Day of the Dead, a chocolate Crystal Maze and plenty of snow

Wahaca is taking east London down Mexico way this weekend (6-8 November), while Breitling and Aero are activating new products through gaming experiences.

Mexican restaurant brand Wahaca is to revive its Day of the Dead festival for the fourth year on Saturday (7 November). Taking place at London’s Tobacco Dock, the 12-hour celebration seeks to bring together all things Mexican and British through food, film, immersive theatre and dancing at London’s Tobacco Dock.

Traditional Mexican food, such as tacos, tortas and churros, will be on offer at a variety of food stalls, while tequila and mezcal bars will offer refreshment alongside Mexican hot chocolate. The event will support the charity Periodistas de a Pie, which defends journalists’ rights and freedom of expression in Mexico.

Breitling

Watchmaker Breitling is hosting a special event at its Bluewater store in Kent with the Red Arrows. The flying troupe will be present to celebrate the launch of a new product.

From 5-8 November, consumers will be able to board The Breitling Simulator in-store, and experience what its like to become the ultimate pilot.

After launching in Stratford in September, Westfield and Sennheiser’s Music Cube experience will head to the shopping centre’s London branch this weekend.

Guests will be able to listen to the music via wireless Sennheiser headphones and experience the bass through the air-blast vibrating floor system. Auto brand Infinti and Kiss FM are also on board as partners.

Nestlé brand Aero is celebrating the launch of its Mousse chocolate bar with a gameshow-inspired experience, which is heading to Jervis shopping centre in Dublin this weekend.

Consumers will be invited to step inside the Aero Mousse Bubble for a chance to win a spa break for two. Those that enter will be given 30 seconds to try and grab as many gold discs as possible, with the hope that one will be a ticket to the 28 spa days on offer.

The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show London 

Fans of winter sports can head to Battersea Evolution this weekend for exhibitions, beer tasting, après-ski food and drink and fireworks. There will also be the chance to listen to talks from the skiing experts, including Team GB, and enjoy music from Die Dorf Fest Kapelle Oompah Band. 

Brands including Nikon, Uniqlo and Deep Heat will be exhibiting at the show.
