Warrior Football unleashes Vinnie Jones for social push

Wolfpack, the creative agency, has rolled out an integrated campaign for Warrior Football's Gambler boot, backed by brand ambassador Vinnie Jones.

Warrior Football unleashes Vinnie Jones for social push

Wolfpack's online and offline experiential activity highlights the Gambler's "control" silo. The boots will be available from 18 July.

The campaign kicks off online with a motion graphic novel starring footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones and Blackpool FC's Thomas Ince.

The six-episode series tells the story of an orphan kidnapped into a shadowy corporate system, who eventually escapes and brings down the corporation. It is available to watch via and will be broadcast at "urban" locations around the world.

Wendy Taylor, global brand director of Warrior Football, said: "We tasked Wolfpack to come up with a campaign that engages our young audience in a disruptive way and that also held their attention.

"Young males look for cool video content to share with friends as social currency so Wolfpack’s strategy for the Gambler campaign was spot-on. We’re looking forward to seeing the outcomes of this burst of activity as we look to cement our boots on the feet of the world’s budding footballers."

A pop-up Gambler exhibition and shop in Shoreditch, East London, will also be open throughout July to promote the boot launch. The store will host video content from the graphic novel, live music, player appearances and promotional streaming, including a video teaser starring Vinnie Jones.
