
Harris, who has been behind Vodafone's global sponsorship strategy for the past seven years, will take up the position of managing director for iris Sponsorship.
Having joined Vodafone in 2001 as global director of sponsorship and media, Harris took up his current role in 2005 . He was responsible for the mobile operator's tie-ups with Formula One team McLaren, Manchester United and UEFA as well as leading the development of its global music and digital media strategy.
Before moving to Vodafone, Harris held various roles at The Coca-Cola Company, which he joined in 1992, rising to the position of worldwide director of sponsorship. He also worked at ad agency Leo Burnett as group manager of international media between 1989 and 1992.
