Vodafone Fashion Weekend takes place two days after the British Fashion Council’s London Fashion Week, which is also sponsored by the telecoms brand, closes at Somerset House. The event is branded itself as Britain’s biggest consumer showcase and promises fashion fans and guests "designer shopping, catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair and beauty and educational panels from leading industry experts".
As title sponsor for the eighth season, Vodafone will be providing charging facilities throughout the four-day event. It will also host The Events Lounge, a venue where numerous sponsors and brands will take part in free educational talks.
Speakers at the sessions include Julie Deane, founder of the Cambridge Satchel Company; Philipp Haug, international artistic director at Toni & Guy; Canon photographer John Williams; and Maybelline New York make-up artist Nancy Summer.
Coffee brand Lavazza is returning to the event for the 11th consecutive year and is hosting a stand to market its A Modo Mio home coffee machine to weary fashionistas. Maybelline New York will be holding mini-makeovers and live masterclasses throughout the weekend, and Toni & Guy will create an on-site salon for dry styling and a retail area.
Both lingerie brand Triumph and Marks & Spencer will showcase their latest designs on the catwalk, while Sunglass Hut is bringing its sunglass experts to the event for 15-minute consultations. Other sponsors include The May Fair Hotel, Swatch, Scavi & Ray Prosecco and The Outnet.
