
The 20-strong team will be responsible for advertising across the company's online, mobile and TV platforms, including the recently launched Virgin Media TV powered by TiVo.
VMDS will be led by familiar faces, including Mark Brandon, the former director of platforms at Virgin’s previous sales house Ids.
In his new role as commercial director, Brandon and his new team will be responsible for pushing the opportunities within the recently consolidated multiple platforms of Virgin Media to agencies and advertisers alike.
, as revealed at the start of the year by Media Week. He will work alongside former Ids' Jenny Thomson, who has been appointed operations director.
The VMDS team will report to Virgin Media’s executive director of digital entertainment, Cindy Rose.

Virgin Media was the first provider of all four broadband, TV, mobile phone and home phone services in the UK.
