Virgin launches Sci-fi on-demand service

LONDON - Virgin Media has launched a Sci-fi & Fantasy area as part of its TV on-demand service.

The themed area will carry up to 150 hours of programming from Warner TV, FX UK, ContentFilm and Virgin Media TV.

Current Virgin Media customers subscribing to the XL package, or those subscribing to TV Choice, will have unlimited access to classic shows such as Babylon 5 and Star Trek, as well as contemporary science fiction series such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

To support the launch, Virgin Media customers will be able to watch shows such as V, Supernatural and Moonlight, for free through Virgin Central, its on-demand channel, throughout February.
