
The airline will fly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears to the NFL International Series game at Wembley Stadium on 23 October.
The company has been the official airline for individual UK games before, but is now an official sponsor for the whole season with brands like Pepsi Max, Visa, and Gatorade.
Promotional activity will take place around the Wembley game and the Superbowl in the US in February 2012 which has a large UK following. Virgin Atlantic will also hold hospitality tickets to the US games.
NFL International commercial director Marc Armstrong said: "We are delighted to be continuing our excellent relationship with Virgin Atlantic as we prepare for our fifth International Series game in London. The partnership continues to grow and Virgin Atlantic have once again stepped up to increase their level of support for the NFL with an enhanced package of rights and activities."
During the flight to the Wembley game, the NFL teams will be served customised menus to suit their dies and entertainment on 10.5" personal screens.
