The venue aims to position itself as the perfect summer venue at the party for industry professionals and media, with a theme of ‘the Great British Summertime’. Floral supplier Lavender Green and caterer The London Kitchen have been recruited for the launch.
The events team will also be on hand throughout the evening to explain how the venue can be transformed for clients.
The View from the Shard can accommodate up to 400 guests in the summer months and 300 for the winter. Smaller groups can also hire the venue for private dinners from 7pm onwards, while businesses can host breakfast meetings from 8am until 9.30am.
Alongside The London Kitchen, other approved catering suppliers at the venue include By Word of Mouth, Alison Price & Company, Rocket Food, Tastes Catering and Cooks & Partners. Event Concept, Fisher Productions and Yes Events will provide AV for events.
Duncan Welsh, events sales manager at The View from the Shard, told Event: "Last year saw the private hire business in The View from The Shard go from strength to strength. This year will capitalise on this success and continue to deliver a unique events experience.
"We are really excited to be able to give guests an exclusive first look at our summer designs, which we are confident will become the backdrop to many celebrations to come."
