Very unveils its new brand positioning with an ad detailing one girl's love of monsters.
A group of girls receives invitations for a princess-themed birthday party, but one would rather read books about monsters than focus on fairy tales. With this in mind, her dad decides to tackle the sewing machine and create an out-of-this-world costume for his daughter to wear for the party.
The story ends as the girl shows up at the party dressed as a "monster alien princess".
Very’s TV ad launched on 14 March alongside video-on-demand, social media, print, radio and out-of-home activity to support the retailer’s "you can say yes when it matters most" brand positioning. It was written by Hannah Talbut, art directed by Joanne Boyle and directed by Ben Liam-Jones through Riff Raff. Media is handled by Vizeum.
