Vertis wins Institute of Directors' data business

LONDON - Data management company Vertis Marketing Technology has been appointed by the Institute of Directors to improve its marketing database by installing Vertis' alterian-data mining software 'Insight Manager'.

The new software will ensure IoD has a more productive and in-depth analysis of its marketing database by adding prospect details in addition to the member and ancillary information.

Vertis will host the Insight Manager database while IoD staff will be able to access it from their desktops making the software faster and able to offer millions of records.

Linda Stranks, head of membership marketing at the Institute of Directors, said Insight Manager will improve recruitment campaigns and communications at the IoD.

"Direct marketing plays a pivotal role in our communications strategy and our recruitment campaigns. We are confident that Insight Manager will enhance our work in this area through greatly improved targeting and quicker turnaround," she said.

Ruaraidh Thomas, general manager of Vertis said the Insight Manager will help IoD create more effective campaigns.

"It will provide them with deeper real-time understanding of both their potential and current members and as a result enable them to create more effective marketing campaigns," he said.

Insight Manager was founded upon Alterian technology and Windows-based front end so marketers can manage their data in real-time allowing easy identification of target groups and then their deployment into campaigns.
