GB Airways is a franchisee of British Airways and operates flights to more than 30 destinations in France, Southern Europe and North Africa under BA branding and livery.
EHS Brann Discovery won against several other agencies, including the incumbent Marketworld. The client called the pitch after deciding to focus more on its online business.
Alex Roberts, marketing manager at GB Airways, said: "We've always had a wealth of data on our customers but, tasked with growing our online business, it was obvious we needed to make this work harder for us and really engage with those customers through the right channels, in the right way."
The database will allow the airline to get greater insight from the existing data gathered via in-flight surveys.
Huw Davis, chief executive of EHS Brann Discovery, said: "Data should be at the heart of any effective marketing strategy and by taking steps in the first instance to refine customer data and derive the maximum benefits from it, we'll be giving the EHS Brann Cirencester the tools they need to design a highly targeted and creative communications programme."
