Venue of the Week: The Garden Room at No.11 Cavendish Square

What’s it got? The venue has just spent £250,000 on refurbishing the former Friend’s Lounge with both contemporary and Georgian influences. Modern chandeliers have been imported from Italy, 18th Century imitation textured wallpaper now lines the walls, and the old flooring has been taken up and replaced by new carpeting. The space can accommodate a maximum of 100 guests and sits opposite the 200-capacity Orangery.

Anything else? The venue was used by the Convent of the Holy Child of Jesus in 1889 and is now the home of medical charity The King’s Fund.
