Van Gogh Museum appoints Day to interior design job

LONDON - The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam has appointed Day Creative Business Partners for the design of its new lobby area and museum shop.

The project, due for completion in September of this year, is headed up by Day's creative partner Gesina Roters and managing partner Louk de Sevaux, with designer David Verburg, interior design project leader Mette Hoekstra and project manager Fleur Bos.

De Sevaux said: "We worked with both the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum in 2008 on the museum shop project, located on Museumplein.

"Based on our performance, the Van Gogh Museum brought us in to advise on internal retail design solutions."

The Van Gogh Museum is home to the largest collection of Vincent van Gogh paintings in the world and attracts more than 1.5m visitors each year.
