Venturethree and Ab Rogers create climate change exhibit

LONDON - Design consultancy Venturethree and Ab Rogers Design have created an exhibit which aims to educate Science Museum visitors about the key issues discussed at the UN Copenhagen conference taking place in December.

Venturethree also has designed the accompanying , marketing materials and exhibition graphics including promotional posters, an online viral initiative, t-shirts, stickers and outdoor promotion around the museum.

The 'Prove It!' exhibit features a short film projected in a 3.5m circle in the middle of the instillation as well as digital and video displays.

As part of the installation, stories are told from the perspectives of six characters who each representent a different person likely to attend the conference, including a climate change modeller, a human rights expert and an economist.

Visitors will be asked to vote on whether they agree with the statement "I want the government to prove they're serious about climate change by negotiating a strong, effective, fair deal at Copenhagen". The results will be published in early December.

Professor Chris Rapley CBE, director of the Science Museum said: "The Copenhagen conference is a crucial opportunity to find an international solution to the threat of climate change and to transform the way we generate and consume energy."

Regine Stefan, Design Director at venturethree, said: "As well as being educational the design of Prove it! is bright, fresh and even a little surprising."

Prove It! will run from 22 October 2009 to January 2010.
