Unspun Creative was appointed by England Rugby 2015, tournament organiser for the Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2015, following a competitive tender.

The agency, which delivered all four Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies during London 2012, will work with Kim Gavin, who also worked on the ceremonies, as well as Take That's Circus Tour and the Help for Heroes concert at Twickenham Stadium.

The RWC 2015 Opening Ceremony will take place at Twickenham Stadium on 18 September, ahead of the opening match between England and Fiji.

Debbie Jevans, England Rugby 2015 chief executive, said: "We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Unspun Creative as the creative producers of our Opening Ceremony. Unspun has a great track record of designing creative and inspiring shows and ceremonies and they will deliver a unique and engaging Opening Ceremony for Rugby World Cup 2015.

"We look forward to announcing further details on the content and format of the Opening Ceremony next year."
