Universal backs King Kong launch with online push by Jam

LONDON - Universal Pictures has launched an international online for its adventure film 'King Kong', released on December 14.

Rich media creative uses iconic scenes from the film including the grapple with a tyrannosaurus rex and the finale on top of the Empire State Building.

Media used includes expandable banners, skyscrapers, overlays and video MPUs and the campaign will run across more than 50 international territories.

Online agency Jam developed the campaign.

Daniel Robey, managing director of Jam, said: "We are incredibly excited by the work we are doing on 'King Kong' where we have tried to push the boundaries of integrating film footage into animated media."

'King Kong', stars Naomi Watts, Jack Black and Adrien Brody. The film is directed by Peter Jackson, the Academy Award-winning director of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy.
