It has approached several direct agencies about a brief to develop a campaign that will drive more traffic to the Unibet website through a series of targeted communications. The agency search is being handled by Agency Assessments.
In January, Unibet hired Tullo Marshall Warren's data division insight@tmw as its strategic data partner following a competitive pitch.
The agency, which was appointed to the account following a three-way pitch process, was tasked with segmenting Unibet's existing database, enabling the company to send out tailored communications for its gambling, poker, supertoto, bingo, scratchcards and skill-based games.
Unibet has in the past promoted its brand across Europe by sponsoring the Green Cycle Team at the Tour de France, but was banned from doing so this year because French law bans foreign-owned gambling firms from backing sports teams.
However, the company has lodged an appeal against the ban, which it described as a scandal, and has been given support by the European Union in its efforts.
Unibet has more than 1.7m members across 150 countries.
