TuneTribe digital download service unveils Xfm link-up

LONDON – TuneTribe, the new digital download service backed by Tom Findlay from Groove Armada, is launching a six-month radio promotion on Xfm with sponsorship, online support and on-air trails as part of its first consumer marketing campaign.

The promotion will involve sponsorship of Eddie Temple Morris' show 'The Remix' on Sunday nights and 'Xfm Unsigned', part of the weekday evening show 'X-Posure'.

TuneTribe launched at the end of July 2005 after a beta trial of six months. The service champions itself on sourcing and showcasing new and unsigned artists, as well as all the latest chart music.

Online promotion will come via Xfm's email newsletters. The creation of a monthly 'Remix' email newsletter will feature information, exclusive offers and links to .

Suzanne Cook, marketing manager at TuneTribe, said: "We want to be a serious music destination rather than merely a download database. Working with Xfm will help us reach out to fellow music lovers by raising general brand awareness as well as driving them to TuneTribe.com."

TuneTribe claims to be the only download service that gives artists and bands 80% of the royalties it makes.
