TRO experiential activity launches Chevrolet Cruze

TRO's Chevrolet Cruze launch, with a 'changing the rules' theme, involved picking up guests in the new car and playing the event's opening address using the car's CD player.

Attendees at the event in Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedford on 7 July were treated to a ride-and-drive activity at a combined business and marketing training session.

Some 130 retailers and 40 Chevrolet head office staff attended the event.

In a nod to Chevrolet's ‘changing the rules' marketing message, TRO also introduced a dessert that appeared to be prawn cocktail, but was in fact lychees with raspberry sauce.

"TRO has really embraced the Chevrolet Cruze ‘changing the rules' theme and applied it creatively throughout the event concept. All the delegates had an experience to remember," said Chevrolet marketing director Les Turton.

In 2008, General Motors consolidated all of its experiential and live event activity with TRO. It is currently working on launching the new Vauxhall Astra.
