The Global Summit will be chaired by Mack Brooks Exhibitions chairman Stephen Brooks and include a keynote address by Reed Exhibitions chairman, Mike Rusbridge that focuses on delivering an environment for mergers and acquisitions, international partnerships and geographical cloning activities.
The event will also include formal and informal networking such as an opportunity for delegates to engage with each other over a fourballs golf game on the venue's championship course, and a series of sessions that will target events in regions including Western Europe, Latin America, South East Asia and Russia.
Single Market Events managing director Tim Etchells said: "I'm participating in this event because it is only through the support of other global players that I have been able to grow my business internationally. I believe that the best future for an organising business today requires an international focus."
Foley added: "This event has been launched because "Thinking global" is occupying the thoughts of more and more event organisers and venues and the significant numbers of UK based global players makes the UK a good location for the Summit."
Government agencies such as Visit Britain and Visit London are supporting the summit as well as international associations including the International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE) in the United States, Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) in Australia and the International Exhibition Logistics Associates (IELA).
Summit chairman Steve Brooks added: "For many event organisers the subject of globalisation is nothing new, yet for others accessing global markets has only recently become a part of business strategy. Whether or not we are new to international event organising, however, we are all confronted with the same reality; circumstances are changing rapidly."
