Tweets announcing new offers, opening times and job opportunities will also form part of Travelodge's Twitter stream, which it hopes will build up a strong online following.
Charlie Herbert, Travelodge's e-commerce director, said: "Over 85 per cent of Travelodge reservations are conducted via the web and with such a strong online following, it makes sense to interact with our customers via Twitter."
It's part of a new investment in digital that saw Herbert, a digital marketer, take over the most senior marketing role at Travelodge.
