Endemol UK, the independent production company, has named Claire Heys as director of brand partnerships and licensing, effective immediately. Heys will report to Lucas Church, chief operating officer at Endemol UK, and Olivier Gers, chief executive of Endemol Worldwide Brands.
Microsoft UK has appointed former Mail on Sunday sales director Simon Davies as sales director for its advertising and online (A&O) division. Davies has been working at Trader Media as a consultant since the start of this year and before this was commercial director at Independent News and Media for a year.
Rachael Stilwell, publishing director of Haymarket's Brand Republic Group and Meetings & Travel Group, is stepping down from the company after 17 years. The publisher behind Haymarket’s Brand Republic, Conference & Incentive Travel, ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, Event, Marketing, Media Week and PR Week, said she is leaving to "try something new". ()
Dominic Mills, editorial director of Haymarket Business Media and a former editor of ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, is also leaving Haymarket in mid-November. Mills said: "There's been a huge amount of change at Haymarket Business Media in the past two years, and I have played my part in much of that."
Global Radio, the owner of the Heart and Capital brands, has appointed former SeeSaw commercial director Matt Rennie to the new position of enterprise director to drive existing and new revenue streams. Rennie will be charged with bringing together several elements of Global Radio's business including its partnership with iTunes, its gaming and directory offerings, CRM and publishing.
PHD is beefing up its strategy team with three appointments, including Steve Taylor to the new role of digital strategy director. Taylor joins PHD from the direct and digital agency CMW, where he is the head of digital planning. We7, the digital music service, has hired Yo! Sushi marketer Mark McCulloch as its first vice president of marketing as it builds awareness to its new internet radio positioning and international rollout. McCulloch was head of marketing at the Japanese food restaurant chain Yo! Sushi for two years. Prior to this he held marketing roles at Barclaycard and Lastminute.com.
Heineken has named Jacco van der Linden as its UK marketing director, following a five-month recruitment process. Van der Linden, who takes up his new role in mid-January, replaces Sarah Warby who left in June to "seek a new challenge". Van der Linden, a Dutch national, has held a number of senior international sales and marketing positions since joining the brewer 1999.
Mothercare will shift its marketing function into its wider business department after the departure of group marketing director Anna James. News that James is quitting follows revelations that chief executive Ben Gordon will step down this month by ‘mutual consent’.
Philip Almond, the global marketing director for Baileys, has left Diageo after 17 years, as part of the drinks company's ongoing restructure. Almond, who held the position of GB marketing director between 2006 and 2009, also worked as UK marketing director for Burger King when it was owned by Diageo in the early 2000s.
