Toyota to sponsor The Scotsman festival coverage

LONDON - Toyota Prius is to sponsor The Scotsman's coverage of The Edinburgh International Festival.

The Toyota Prius, voted European Car of the Year 2005, will have branding on all 18 page of the The Scotsman's 24-page daily festival guides including Scotland on Sunday, Festival Review and all Scotsman.com festival coverage.

The 2005 Edinburgh International Festival runs from August 14 to September 4 and includes the best of opera, theatre, music and dance.

The deal was brokered by Chris Davies, account manager at ZenithOptimedia and Ben Wood, group head at The Scotsman Publications.

Paul Hackwell, national sales director at The Scotsman Publications, said: "This is our first truly integrated sponsorship deal and is a significant reward for the eight months of hard work that went into winning this pitch."
