Total Film creates mini-magazine to mark 70 years of 20th Century Fox

LONDON - Total Film, the movie magazine published by Future, is celebrating 70 years of 20th Century Fox with an advertorial mini-magazine at the back of its August issue.

Future collaborated on the promotion with media agency Starcom MediaVest with the aim of reinforcing awareness of the film company and driving sales of its Studio Classics range of DVDs.

The Total Fox miniature title can be read by flipping over the August issue of Total Film. The magazine's conventional back cover has been replaced with a specially created Total Fox "cover". It is illustrated using a photographic montage of filmstars in Fox-produced movies, such as Sigourney Weaver in 'Alien', Paul Newman and Robert Redford in 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' and Bruce Willis in 'Die Hard'.

The 16-page supplement provides an historical overview of some of Fox's most famous movies. The Studio Classics range of DVDs comprises films made between 1930 and 1970.

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment UK's marketing director Al King, said. "We're happy to work with partners who share our passion for film, both modern and classic.

"As Total Film moves from strength to strength, the editorial and publishing teams have been extremely professional, creative and enthusiastic to work with."

Last month, Future appointed Mark Dinning as Total Film's new editor, replacing Matt Mueller who became editor-at-large.

The editorial changes in senior management come as the title looks to increase its readership. The the most recent set of ABCs, for July-December 2004, showed circulation down 8.6% to 82,810.
