20th Century Fox in Classic films push

20th Century Fox is to promote its new Studio Classics range of DVDs and accompanying site through a campaign by agency Greenroom Digital.

The dedicated web site (www.foxstudioclassics.co.uk) will offer details on each of the 70 films in the range, including the original release information, trivia, trailers and reviews.

The films include such classics as Hello, Dolly!, The Fly and The Grapes of Wrath. The first set of 20 titles will be released on 18 April.

The site has aimed for a 'retro' feel to complement the design of the DVD sleeves, and allows users to view the original theatrical trailers of the films.

Greenroom Digital is backing the site with online promotions, search- engine optimisation and email management.

Starcom Mediavest and DSA PR are also working alongside Fox's Studio Classics team on the launch.

The Studio Classics range celebrates the 70th anniversary of Twentieth Century Fox, with 70 DVD titles from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s due for release between April and August.

Al King, marketing director at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, said: "We believe there is a real opportunity to reach out to DVD collectors and the older consumer base with these titles. All our marketing efforts are focused on these two consumer groups."
