Top Tech: Johnnie Walker music glass

To promote its Johnnie Walker Red Label and ginger ale drink, the Diageo brand has created a 'futuristic' music glass.

The ‘Boldest Glass’ uses bone conduction technology to send music from an AM/FM transmitter through to an amplifier, located in the base of the glass, to play music into the drinker’s ear to ‘enhance the brain’s perception’ of the drink. 

The scotch whisky is hoping to create a link between music and its brand for future marketing.

The glass was co-developed by sensory scientists Condiment Junkie, which also designed the complementary audio track. 

London bar Call Me Mr Lucky will have the glass, which can be sampled upon request, for one month.
