TNSSport ventures into Swedish market

LONDON – TNSSport, the sports sponsorship research arm of Taylor Nelson Sofres, is launching in Sweden.

TNS Gallup in Sweden will be the tenth market to accommodate TNSSport's research and sponsorship evaluation service.

Per Bostroem, managing director of TNS Gallup, said: "The Scandinavean market is evolving rapidly, with sponsors, teams and agencies now requiring measurement that is consistent and proven in other markets."

TNSSport Sweden will be managed by Peter Englund and will be based in TNS Gallup's Stockholm office.

TNS Gallup already offers ad hoc research in technology, finance, automotive, consumer and media.

In addition, TNSSport has launched Sports Panel, a pan-European sports research product that uses the internet and a sample of 70,000 television sports fans to provide clients with relevant data on consumers.

It covers fans from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. The panel has been developed so that behaviour and changes of opinion can be tracked over a period of time.
