TNS inks three-year deal with Baltic broadcaster

LONDON - Baltic broadcaster Viasat Broadcasting has renewed its TV measurement contract with market research firm TNS.

The deal will last for a further three years until 2009, and covers audience data and advertising expenditure estimates in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Tony Taylor, TNS global marketing director for the internet, TV and radio audience measurement division, said: "We are very pleased to have signed this new contract with Viasat, which is a leading broadcaster across Scandinavia, Russia and Central Europe as well as the Baltics.

"The fact that Viasat has reappointed TNS, to continue supplying audience measurement services highlights its confidence in us."

Viasat's main channel in the area is TV3 and the panel size across the Baltics is 850 households.
