Tomei, who had a 13-year career at ACNielsen, joins as global head of access panels, where he will be responsible for setting, leading and implementing a growth strategy for 6thdimension, TNS' access panel business, across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
He will be based at TNS' New York head quarters and report directly to Pedros Ros, managing director for the global clients sector.
Tomei is credited with 25 years experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, and has expertise in developing, managing and marketing consumer panels in the US and internationally.
Prior to joining TNS, Tomei was president of ACNielsen's Homescan consumer panel business reponsibile for 27 countries.
He has also served as a board member for the Advertising Research Foundation in the US, and for CRM firm Marketing Technology Solutions.
