The Raindance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in Europe and was established in 1992 to celebrate and support British film making. The first five films that will be available to view are: 'No Deposit, No Return'; 'House'; 'Old Tricks'; 'Something Real';and 'Stretched Too Thin'.
The latest sponsorship comes following the group's recent involvement with the International Rotterdam Film Festival, where it launched an experiment to distribute arthouse films over the internet.
Richard Ayers, portal director and editor of Tiscali, said: "Partnering with Raindance means we will continue to offer excellence in entertainment by showing compelling short films throughout the year and by backing an established but still cult film festival."
Patrons of the festival include directors such as Mike Figgis, Ken Loach, Michael Winterbottom and actors including including Ewan McGregor, Samantha Morton and Bill Nighy.
