Speaking after the 2014 ceremony had taken place at the Royal Opera House in London, Dodgson said: "It went brilliantly. We’ve done it for 17 years, which is a lot of awards ceremonies, but it has grown progressively."
This year saw 560 guests attend, including high profile names such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne. Timebased worked with local police, security and the council to close off Bow Street for the red carpet event.
But Dodgson is adamant there will be no stagnation in the event’s design as it approaches its twentieth mark. "The client forces us to keep things new and fresh," he explained. "There’s constantly a demand to keep progressing, so it is a challenge to make it different each year."
Timebased are awarded the contract on a rolling basis and have already made a start on planning next year’s event. "It’s one of five events that we’ve done for more than a decade now," said Dodgson.
"It’s great that the client wants to ask us back again. I think Timebased has grown as a company alongside the Awards, and that’s a great benchmark of our success," he added.
