Subscribers to will soon have access to 3,000 reviews from Time Out magazine. In turn, the website will now be the sponsor of Time Out's DVD section, and offer the magazine's readers offers such as free trials to Lovefilm, access to bespoke backlist packages and exclusive ticket deals.
Mark Livingstone, chief executive officer at Lovefilm, said: "The Time Out deal is a great opportunity for both partners. It not only allows us to add huge value to the package offered to existing Lovefilm subscribers, but also gives Time Out film fans access to an online DVD rental service that shares their genuine passion for film."
The Time Out movie reviews will be available online from July, ahead of the publication of a co-branded film guide later this year.
Lesley Gill, managing director of Time Out magazine, said: "This association with Lovefilm will deliver benefits to our film-loving readers and will add to the already excellent coverage they enjoy from Time Out's highly respected film section."
