Time to Change campaign aims to tackle mental health issues

LONDON - The Big Lottery Fund and Comic Relief have rolled out a £16 million campaign aimed at tackling mental illness.

The campaign, called Time to Change, features celebrities Stephen Fry and Ruby Wax and aims to show how negative attitudes can be unhelpful and even harmful for those with mental health problems.

Enable Interactive created the digital component of the campaign, using animation to bring to life the stories of people who have faced stigma and discrimination.

Display ads will appear on the Daily Mail, Sun, Facebook, among other sites.

Enable also created the main website for the campaign, and the URL () will be used in offline promotions on public transport, on beer mats and washroom panels across England.

Time to Change is led by leading mental health charities Mental Health Media, Mind and Rethink. The initiative is backed by £16 million from the Big Lottery Fund and £2 million from Comic Relief.

The7stars handled media planning and buying for the campaign.
