Telegraph Financial Services markets co-branded services including mortgages, provided by Charcol, and insurance, provided by Allianz Cornhill, to the Daily and Sunday Telegraph's reader base of more than 2m people. It publishes reader guides to each subject area.
Although it already has an investor service provided by AWD Chase de Vere, the division detected an opportunity to target investors with portfolios greater than £100,000. It last year trialled such a service in a link with Close Brothers, and drew a high response.
Brewin Dolphin Wealth Management was selected to provide the service for the next five years by Justin Hodges, the head of Telegraph Financial Services, after a tender process involving 30 contenders.
The Daily and Sunday Telegraph will advertise a free 32-page reader guide covering the topic of portfolio management, available on request from December 2. There are separate versions of the guide for Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph readers, each written by a different Telegraph journalist.
Content from the guide will also be used online, with a dedicated mini-site to be created. This site will allow interested people the chance to contact Brewin Dolphin and book places at seminars running around the UK in the coming months.
In addition, online display ads, to be featured on Telegraph email bulletins, will link through to this site.
The Telegraph will pass on to Brewin Dolphin any prospects gathered via its yearly lifestyle questionnaire, which is sent out to 1.2m people.
